In its original fitted box, this is a 15k yellow gold brooch in the form of a gold bamboo motif walking stick. It is complete with a natural saltwater seed pearl and turquoise cabochon.

It dates to the 1920s, petite in scale and could be worn scattered with other brooches, or is certainly distinctive by itself.

The box is imprinted in gold to the interior: Wilson & Gill Pearl and Diamond Merchants, 134 Regent Street, London.

Historical Note: The firm was founded in 1892 and remained in force until 1969 when it was bought out by Hester Clarke Ltd., still in business today.
